What if my mattress height is lower than 52.5cm?
This is only relevant when using the POD2 in bedside sleeper mode with the drop-side down. Safety standards state that your mattress should not sit lower than the top of the POD2’s drop-side wall. If it's too low, there's a risk that as your baby grows and begins to push up on hands and knees, they could climb over the wall.
What if my mattress height is higher than 60.5cm?
That’s fine! The POD2 will still function as a bedside sleeper, but your mattress may sit higher than the drop-side wall, reducing some of the side-by-side visibility and accessibility.
Can I incline one side if my baby has reflux?
While the POD2 can be gently tilted, Australian paediatricians and leading health bodies do not recommend using an inclined sleep surface to manage reflux. The ACCC’s latest infant sleep safety standard advises that the safest sleep surface for babies is one that is firm, flat and level.
Trusted organisations including Red Nose, The Raising Children Network and The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne all recommend placing babies on their back on a firm, flat surface for sleep — even for reflux — as inclines may increase the risk of SIDS.
Can the fabrics on my POD2 be washed?
Yes! The body fabrics on the POD2 have been thoughtfully designed to be fully removable for washing when unforeseen accidents happen or you need to give them a refresh when your baby has finished using their POD2. Simply remove the fabrics as outlined in the instruction manual. Ensure all the fabrics are completely dry before re-assembling and your POD2 will be good as new!
