While there is no manufacturing fault with the product, we have become aware of a potential safety hazard with the ROVER2019 that we want to bring to your attention.

If the pram is used incorrectly as per the examples listed below, a gap may be created between the top of the seat and the handlebar that could present a risk of potential injury to a child.

What is the potential risk?

Our risk analysis confirms that any potential safety risk is extremely low. We have received no reports of injuries, incidents or concerns with the ROVER2019.

In order for any risk to present, you would need to be using the pram incorrectly and meet all 5 of the below criteria:

1. Canopy removed from the stroller;

2. Seat forward facing;

3. Seat fully reclined;

4. Harness unfastened (child unrestrained);

5. Stroller on a steep incline, steep enough so that the angle of the seat back is greater than horizontal with the ground OR you tip the pram to go up a step of greater than 23cm.

We've created the below image to help demonstrate this:

How concerned should I be? This safety alert message is being issued out of an abundance of caution and to ensure that your stroller is only used with the canopy attached to remove any risk. Although the risk is extremely low, we believe that any avoidable risk should be managed responsibly - that's why we are issuing this notice to make you aware of the situation.

What should I do? Never use the stroller without the canopy fully attached. Using the stroller with the canopy attached eliminates all risk that has been identified. With the canopy attached, your stroller is perfectly safe to continue using.

What prams are affected? All Babybee ROVER2019 models. (You can check your model on the information label inside of the rear of your basket. No other models are affected).
