Babybee DUO Seat Size

The Babybee DUO is suitable for use from birth (with the bassinet) up to around 3 years in the seat, depending on how tall your child grows.

In order to balance stroller size, weight and number of configurations, the seats are very compact. They are designed to fit the average Australian 3-year-old, up to 20kg in weight and comply with all Australian Safety Standards. Both DUO stroller seats are the same size.

Seat weight limit: 20kg
Seat back length (from seat to top of the backboard): 49cm
Max. head-height allowance (canopy open like below photos): 55cm

Poppy: 20 months, 86cm tall

Emmy: 4.5 years, 109cm tall

You can see that Emmy does fit in the seat however it is not going to be a spacious, comfortable ride. If your main reason for buying is for a child around 3 years, please consider our ROVER model and Toddler Board.

(Note: the canopy connectors have been moved up the frame by 2cm to provide maximum headroom in these photos.

Notes about children's growth

Babies and toddlers grow at very inconsistent rates, with their torsos growing faster to begin with and then slowing as their legs grow at an amazing rate! For those that see their 10-month old nearing the top of the seat, it’s extremely likely that they will stay at that point on the seat for quite a while. On average, babies grow approximately 25cm from 0-12months, 13cm from 1-2 years, 9cm a year from 2-3 years and 5cm a year from 3 years to puberty.
